Trauma Healing Intensives
Focused trauma processing for meaningful emotional change.
EMDR & Brainspotting Therapy Intensives
Deep, focused trauma healing for adults ready to move beyond insight and experience real emotional change.
Sometimes weekly therapy simply doesn’t provide enough space to fully process the experiences that shaped you.
You may understand your patterns intellectually.
You may even know where they come from.
But the emotional charge is still there.
Therapy intensives create the time and focus needed for deeper trauma processing using EMDR and Brainspotting, allowing your nervous system to process experiences that may have remained stuck for years.
For many clients, this format allows meaningful shifts to happen in ways that weekly sessions sometimes cannot.
What Trauma Therapy Intensives Can Help You Work Through:
Why Some People Choose Therapy Intensives
Many people who seek out intensives are thoughtful, self-aware individuals who have already done personal work but still feel stuck in certain emotional patterns.
You might recognize yourself in some of these experiences:
• you understand your history but still feel triggered by certain situations
• you feel emotionally exhausted from repeating the same relationship patterns
• you've spent years being the strong one for others
• you're ready to process deeper experiences rather than just talk about them
• your schedule makes weekly therapy difficult to maintain
• you want focused time dedicated entirely to your healing
Therapy intensives allow us to work together in a way that gives your nervous system the time and support it often needs to process trauma more fully.
How Trauma Intensives Work
During an intensive, we use extended time to work with trauma-processing approaches such as EMDR and Brainspotting.
These methods help the brain and nervous system process experiences that may still feel emotionally active, even years later.
Because we are not limited to a traditional 50-minute session, we are able to:
• stay with the process longer
• allow deeper memories or emotions to surface safely
• integrate insights and emotional shifts more fully
• move through multiple layers of a pattern or experience
Many clients find that this focused time allows for deeper processing and greater emotional clarity.
Who Therapy Intensives Are For
Therapy intensives are often a good fit for people who:
• have already spent time reflecting on their experiences but still feel emotionally stuck
• want to process deeper trauma patterns
• are ready to engage in focused healing work
• prefer a more immersive therapeutic experience
Many clients who pursue intensives describe feeling ready to move beyond insight and into deeper emotional healing.
What a Therapy Intensive Might Look Like
Available virtually in Massachusetts and Maryland, my EMDR intensives offer a structured, holistic approach to trauma healing for introspective adults seeking lasting change. Each intensive is personalized based on your needs and goals. A typical intensive may include:
• preparation and consultation before the intensive
• grounding and nervous system regulation work
• trauma processing using EMDR or Brainspotting
• structured breaks for rest and integration
• reflection and integration at the end of the session
The goal is not to push through difficult experiences, but to create a supportive space where your nervous system can process them safely.
EMDR & Brainspotting Intensive Options & Pricing
Each intensive is designed to meet you where you are in your healing process. During a complimentary consultation call, we’ll talk about what you’re hoping to work through and determine whether a focused session, half-day intensive, or multi-day experience would best support your goals.
All intensives begin with a 90-minute assessment session ($350). This session allows us to explore your history, identify the experiences or patterns you’d like to focus on, and prepare your nervous system for deeper trauma processing work.
This assessment fee is applied toward your intensive package.
Intensives are designed to create the time and space needed for deeper healing using EMDR and Brainspotting, two trauma-processing approaches that help the brain and nervous system release experiences that may still feel emotionally “stuck.”
Payment plan options are available.

A Different Kind of Healing Space
Healing from complex trauma often requires more than understanding what happened.
It requires space for your nervous system to process experiences that may have been carried silently for years.
Therapy intensives create that space.

Most insurance plans only reimburse for traditional 45–60 minute sessions and do not cover extended or multi-hour formats like intensives.
However, you may be able to:
Use HSA or FSA funds to pay for your intensive
Submit a superbill for possible partial reimbursement (if your plan includes out-of-network benefits)
Apply for Victim Compensation (if eligible due to a violent crime)
