Therapy for Women of Color in Massachusetts

Therapy rooted in ancestry, shaped by lived experience, and designed to help you exhale.

I’m guessing you know the cycle well. You’re always showing up for work, for your family, for your friends. On the outside, you’ve always been the capable one, the high-achiever, the “strong friend.” On the inside, you feel tired, emotionally drained, lost, and lonely. You can see the pattern because you’ve been living it for years, but no matter how self-aware you are, it feels hard to break.

I help women step out of that cycle, unlearn survival mode, and reconnect with who they are beneath the pressure.

About Lorrie Bertrand, LICSW

I’m Lorrie Bertrand, LICSW. I am a trauma therapist and a real human who knows what it’s like to feel stuck in constant go mode. While you don’t need to have lived it to do this work, I’ve found it’s made me a more attuned & compassionate therapist.

Over the years, I’ve helped many women come home to themselves and say yes to themselves, sometimes for the very first time. My work blends deep compassion with clinically grounded care that goes beyond surface-level fixes.

What You Can Expect

  • Space to unlearn old patterns and move through emotional blocks

  • A nonjudgmental space where you’re invited to soften, be seen, and heal at your own pace

  • A healing relationship that centers your truth, not just your symptoms

  • A person-centered approach where all your guarded, tender, and even your humorous parts are welcome (because healing can be serious work without being heavy all the time).

If you’re willing to put in the work, therapy can help you get there!
